Blair Bollinger joined the Philadelphia Orchestra as bass trombonist in 1986. He studied at the Curtis Institute with Charles Vernon and Glenn Dodson. In addition to many recordings with the Philadelphia Orchestra he can be heard on Four Of A Kind; a disk of trombone quartets on Summit Records, and a Gabrieli disc with the Canadian Brass. Mr. Bollinger has performed as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony and in recitals, masterclasses and trombone conferences in China, Poland, Chile, and elsewhere around the world. He is on the faculty of the Curtis Institute and Temple University in Philadelphia. This new solo CD, Fancy Free , features original works by Fetter, Villete, Spillman, Lassen, Tomasi, and Tcherepnin, plus transciptions by Mr. Bollinger of music by Ibert and Clay Smith:
